Using the Right High Tech for Business

The speed to market of new technology products and services is getting faster. Almost every week, there is a new enterprise platform, tablet, smartphone or media service promising to revolutionize your business life. So it’s good to check that past decisions in adopting the right technology for doing business is still viable. We use the ‘4 Rs’ in determining what’s right for you… Are you doing the right things? Are you doing them the right way? Are you doing them with the right people? And, are you getting the right results? When looking at High Tech for business, the answers might surprise you. For example, take a look at the latest iterations of smartphones and tablets. You use these mobile devices primarily to communicate to your clients and to communicate back to your office. But are you using the right device? If the most important audience is your client, the best device might not be a smartphone but a tablet…and the phone needn’t be as sophisticated and expensive. And if you are using a tablet for your client interactions, are you using the right applications? Will Windows 8 presentations be as effective as the iPad Presentations or the multitude of Android apps? And are you using social media properly- blogs, wikis and FaceBook- like sites? The third ‘R’ is very important- are you communicating with the right audience? If you’re working with Accounts Payable all the time, your communication solutions will be different than if you’re working with marketing or HR folks. And in determining if you’re getting the right results, have you established quantitative measurements to cost-justify what you’re using? High tech is expensive and adopting any new product or service should be ROI positive. T he challenge is aligning people, processes and technologies to make it all happen seamlessly. It's not an easy task when people are busy and communications is not a core technology. This is where we help. We assess what you currently have and what is available in the market. We cost justify your investment in the right tools to allow you to do business better. And we let you run your business while we help you in adopting the right technology.
